Drapanos is a traditional Cretan village, located inland from Kokkino Chorio on the Apokoronas Peninsular in West Crete. 

A beautiful and peaceful location for those wishing to feel part of the local community, this typical Greek village has a local taverna, small mini market and the quaint local church St. Pandeleimonas.

As is typical in many villages, local produce sellers visit the village on a daily and weekly basis selling freshly baked bread, fresh fish and other home grown produce and wares.

Seemingly lost in time, Drapanos surely is pure Crete, with the postcard perfect White mountains in the background.

Just a short drive will bring you to the beautiful sandy beaches at Almerida and Kalives to the west or to the long, sandy beach of Georgioupolis to the east.
