Polemarchi is located just 3kms from the seaside village of Tavronitis, a hive of activity all year round, you will find tavernas serving traditional Cretan food, two small supermarkets, a bakery, butcher and other shops and bars, as well as a traditional kafeneon. 

Enjoy a stroll along the tree lined sea front, swim in sea or sit on its pretty sand and pebble beach.  During the summer months there a more bars and tavernas open here.

The Venetian town of Chania to the east and the historic town of Kissamos-Kastelli to the west can easily be reached in around 20 minutes drive along the national highway.
