Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition & competition
In 2005 and 2006 the Daily Mail searched the Mediterranean region for a property to give away in a reader competition. In particular they wanted a stunning property finished to the very highest of standards, with a swimming pool on a substantial plot with magnificent sea views. New Century Homes built the first two houses as seen here on the left for the paper's 2005 and 2006 ‘Win a Dream Villa' competition, meeting all the criteria required and satisfying one of the UK's leading newspapers in the process. In addition full size replicas of the houses were constructed both in the 2005 and the 2006 Ideal Home Exhibition in Earl's Court London.
One Year to Pay Off Your Mortgage
Channel 4 made contact with New Century Homes in 2005 as they wanted to feature the company in their 'One Year to Pay Off Your Mortgage' programme. They followed the build and charted the progress of the two families' neighbouring properties from the moment the families chose their plots until completion of their stone villas.
The programme also highlighted how much their properties had increased in value when it was aired during Autumn 2006 and later repeated on various UK satellite TV channels.
A Place in the Sun
New Century Homes has also been featured in Channel 4's popular property TV series ‘A Place in the Sun'. In Series 5, Episode 1, the Hoburn family are looking for their dream home in Crete. Since filming the programme, the Hoburn's have established Sara's Hope Foundation, in memory of their daughter and their aim is to build a respite care retreat in Crete. New Century Homes has supported the Hoburn's in their ambition since the early days of the charity.
